Upon being seated, we were greeted with a drink menu boasting over 150 whisky options, as well as an expansive beer and wine list.

I opted for a generously sized glass of wine and ordered the Mac ‘n’ Cheese.

Chalkboards around the pub listed off the Whisky of the Month, a 15-year-old Glenfiddich, as well as the current list of desserts.

The pub itself is open Monday-Saturday from 11am-11pm, while the kitchen is open from 12pm-10pm.

On Sundays, the pub’s hours are 11am-10:30pm, and kitchen’s open 12pm-9pm.

At the Lord Wargrave the meat is slow-cooked to perfection, till it's near falling off the bone.

Try ‘Jacob’s Ladder’ for glazed beef ribs, and climb to meat heaven.

Nestled on Brendon Street, just off the Edgware Road, The Lord Wargrave is a short walk from Hyde Park and Oxford Street, with Baker Street and Marble Arch tube stations just a stone's throw away.

A traditional Victorian boozer in aesthetic, the menu focus here is US-inspired BBQ food matched with an impressive array of whisky, cask ale and keg beer.

All meat is smoked in-house - the St. Louis pork ribs and burgers are some of the best in town - and the bar is a whisky fan's paradise.

Over 150 different whiskies from the USA, Ireland, Scotland and Japan cater for all palates, whether you like a sweet and smokey bourbon, a peaty single-malt or a super smooth blended.

Sunday roasts are a highlight of the Wargrave week - not to be missed!

About a ten-minute walk from Hyde Park or Marble Arch, the guys here offer up ‘serious barbecue and serious whisky’.

With all of their meat smoked in-house and a choice of over 150 whiskies, check out the eight-hour smoked jacob’s ladder beef ribs and add in a glass of something peaty to set it off.
